Born in Marseille, in 1952.
Lives and works in Paris and Marseille.

Graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Marseille.
Visiting professor at ENSBA in Paris in 2002-2003. Until 1995, taught at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Marseille, the École d'architecture de Marseille and the École d'art de Nîmes.

Gérard Traquandi is a major French painter. He also practices drawing and watercolour, as well as ceramics.
Engraving, in which he has mastered all the techniques, plays an important role in his work.
The galerie Catherine Putman edits and distribute etchings, aquatings and photographs.
