Agathe May's engravings are inked like paintings, hand-printed, assembled, sticked together, setted off. The artist makes of each print a unique work, an image always reinvented.

«  Agathe May indeed is an engraver, but a very peculiar one. When she has the wood plank ready to print, after uncountable studies and tries, she sets it off with colors. Thus, each print is a unique piece, dictated by chromatic experimentations. The right technical term would be "monotype". »
