The galerie Catherine Putman presents Sovann Kim’s digital prints.

« These images’ starting point appeal to real and living elements for some of them (plants, animals, food…) at first scanned as they are. The scanner directly analyses the subject, not its photograph. Then, the raw scans are modified with a digital process. The resulting images use a particular chemistry between a real ‘body’ and a virtual suggestion that explores the visible, the imperceptible, the structure, light, space, dicomposition and reconstruction. It is mainly about our ordinary environment and its discreet poetry. » Sovann Kim
